What is Harbour?
Harbour is a VPS we configure for running containers before you ever log in: hardened security, Docker and Docker Compose installed, and a reverse proxy that gives every app you expose automatic HTTPS. You deploy your applications; we keep the underlying platform patched and secure. What can I run on it?
Anything that runs in a container: web apps, APIs, background workers, databases and self-hosted tools. If you have a Dockerfile or a Compose file, you are ready. Who manages the server?
It is a shared responsibility with a clear line. We look after the base: operating system security patches, the firewall, SSH hardening, the Docker runtime and the HTTPS proxy. You look after your containers, your code and your data. Do I get root access?
Yes. You get full root access over SSH with key-based login. It is your server, so you can install tooling and automate deployments however you like. What is the database add-on?
A second, separate server running PostgreSQL, hardened to the same standard and included in the same management split. Keeping the database on its own machine protects your data from application load and keeps production tidy. It starts at £24.99 a month. Are backups included?

We can discuss it. Managing your Docker images and deployments sits outside the standard plans, but we will consider taking it on at an agreed price. Tell us what you need and we will quote for it. What if I need a size or setup you do not list?
